so what is a best friend?

So how do you know when someone is your true friend? Or even better, your best friend. Sometimes it's hard to tell but i think i've found out who my true friends are.

Relationships are never perfect. Sometimes you're gonna fight with each other. Sometimes you'll laugh. Sometimes you'll cry. But usually you laugh until you cry :) It doesn't matter if you treat them like crap one day and then like a god the next day, although that can be pretty annoying sometimes...take it from girl who sometimes does that and sometimes has that done to her. But since relationships in general are never perfect, neither are friendships.

The best friendships don't always occur between people who are just like you. They can happen between anyone, and sometimes with total opposites. I know my best friend and me aren't totally alike, but its the differences that make it fun for us to be around each other. We never really fight that much but when we do we always get over it and then become closer than ever.

That's another thing. You have to be able to cross those bridges together. You have to make-up from fights. You have to more forward together. Your best friends are the ones who will always be there for you. They're the ones who can tell you what a jerk your ex-boyfriend is. They can tell you to stop flirting with some guy who's a total loser (and yes that is a good thing to be stopped from). They can also tell you when something makes you look fat, and you won't even take offense from it!

Best friends are trustworthy. You can tell them anything and know that they're not gonna go blabbing to someone else about it. I think that's the most important part. Because a part of being trustworthy is being honest, and who wants to be friends with a world class liar? Sometimes friends prove to be un-trustworthy, and it takes a lot to gain that trust back, but you always can if they mean enough to you.

And best friends don't come with a warning label that's for sure! And they don't come with an instruction manuel. You're both on this ride together so you can make up your own instructions as you go along. The only instruction manuel to follow is the Girl Code of course. But even then it can be kinda hard to do. Don't think that if you forget one rule that you're gonna fail as a friend, because that's totally not true. But you might wanna read up on that just in case :)

The most important thing about is friend is that they make you laugh. Laughing always makes you feel better, its a proven fact! And laughing adds seconds on to your life. From all the times i've laughed in my life i've had to add on about 20 years not even kidding! Laughing creates memories and memories last forever :)

new and improved?

So i'm just going to start off by saying sorry that i haven't blogged in a really long time. So anyways. I personally am obsessed with music. It makes you feel things that are true, like love and saddness, making up, breaking up; all those things are a part of it. That's why i'm always open to new music! So i'm not that much of a country fan except for ALLLL the taylor swift songs on my iPod, but this new Keith Urban album seems really good. I have Kiss a Girl on my iPod now and i just CAN'T stop listening to it! It's so addictive. and idk why! It's gonna be on my summer playlist for sure!

And also last night i finally watched Dirty Dancing all the way through. I'd seen parts of it a while ago and stuff but i never got to see the whole thing, and now that i have its one of my FAVORITE movies. I love dance movies and dance + love makes them 100 times better. I mean they were doing some serious dirty dancing in that movie. Among other things ;)

So yeahh all these 80's movies are my favorites now. I'd been meaning to see some of them FOREVER but never got the chance to rent them or anything and then my best friend got hooked on them and bought a ton of them and i have to say...I LOVE THEM! Especially Dirty Dancing, Footloose, The Breakfast Club, and Pretty In Pink. They're some of my favorites. I can't say the same about 80s music though. Idk but it just doesn't light my bulb! haha.
